Anthony Rees (Chairman)
CEO, MIP Technologies ABAnthony Rees


Anthony Rees is CEO of Technologies AB, a company developing molecularly imprinted polymers. He was previously Scientific Director at the French Biotech company Synt:em and before that Head of the School of Biology & Biochemistry at the University of Bath, UK. He was on the Faculty of Oxford University from 1980-1990 from where he obtained his doctorate.

Dr. Rees is a pioneer in antibody engineering and modeling, in 1989 was scientific co-founder of Oxford Molecular plc which marketed the AbM software package developed by his group at Universities of Oxford & Bath. He also developed WAM - Web Antibody Modelling - which is widely used in antibody engineering and allows to construct 3D models of antibody Fv sequences on-line using a combination of established theoretical methods together with antibody structural information.

 Kim Dueholm

Kim Dueholm
Partner, Novo Ventures

Kim Dueholm is a Partner in Novo Ventures, Novo A/S. Kim obtained his MSc in chemistry/business administration from Odense University in 1991 and his PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Copenhagen in 1995. In 1995 he joined Novo Nordisk A/S and has held various positions ranging from Information Specialist and Patent Portfolio Analyst to Principal Scientific Analyst. Kim's international experience includes research and venture fund experience from California, USA, and research experience from Osaka, Japan. Kim joined Novo A/S in November 2000. Kim is a director of Novexel S.A. and Neurokey A/S and a former director of Symphogen, Nuevolution and Core A/S.

Regina Hodits Regina Hodits
Partner, Atlas Venture

Regina is a Partner in the Life Sciences sector of Atlas Venture. She began her career in venture capital in 2000 with Apax Partners in Munich, where she was responsible for life science investments. Prior to Apax Partners, she was an industry specialist for pharmaceutical and biotech companies at McKinsey & Company focusing on spin-offs and mergers in the sector. Regina holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and a Master of Science from the Technical University in Vienna, Austria. She did post-doctoral research at MRC in Cambridge, UK and has been published in several journals, including Nature Biotech and JBC.

Kreske Nickelsen Kreske Nickelsen
Partner, Aescap Venture

Kreske is a Partner at Aescap Venture. Prior to joining Aescap, she spent 9 years at 3i and was actively involved in a number of European biotechnology companies with a focus on Germany and the UK. Kreske began her professional career at The Boston Consulting Group.   She holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MSc in Biology from University of Marburg.


Florian Rücker Florian Rüker
Associate Professor, University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences Vienna

Florian Rüker received his doctorate from the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna, where he has been leading a research group working in the field of protein structural biology, engineering and expression for the past 21 years, with a focus on antibodies and serum albumin. For several years, he has also been active as a project leader for New Century Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Huntsville, AL). At present, he is an associate Professor at the Department of Biotechnology at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria.
